Making Diversity Interventions Count Annual Conference (MDICAC)

Description

Thursday 23 May 2024, 09:00 – 17:00 BST

The MDICAC brings together renowned scholars, practitioners, thought leaders and students from the UK and internationally to explore and reflect on research and development in Equality/Equity Diversity, and Inclusion. MDICAC is an opportunity to synthesise and apply knowledge and best practice. The conference focuses on exploring the different interventions for advancing equality, with the objective of informing the development of good practice in the effective use of interventions.

The conference will take place in-person on Thursday 23 May 2024, 09:00 – 17:00 BST, at the University of Bradford, Richmond Road, Bradford, BD7 1DP, UK.

The MDICAC is designed to challenge and create elements of discomfort to those who are happy with the status quo, providing an opportunity for participants to engage with the subject in a thought-provoking way, and offering an avenue for inter and intra-disciplinary exchange creating a cross pollination of ideas.

The Barbara Burford memorial lecture: this conference offers a platform for honouring the life and legacies of Barbara Burford –an inspirational leader and a lifelong icon, champion of EDI, who inspired change at the national level through her work.

The Making Diversity Interventions Count Annual Conference 2024 provides a platform for taking stock and reflecting on the journey into developing and implementing diversity interventions.
